November 21, 2025 Friday - I’ve been wanting something bigger that I could go camping with the pups in. My other car just didn’t have enough space for all of us and our stuff. I spent part of the day yesterday negotiating with the dealer for this and went to pick it up this afternoon. It will be full of dirt and dog hair in no time.
November 20, 2025 Thursday - This afternoon, I saw my brother come over to take care of the chickens, so I went out to go say hi. As I was walking over, he told me to go get my camera. One of his goats had her babies the other day, and he’s just now telling me. They’re so tiny and cute. Thankfully, they have a place to stay warm and dry.
November 19, 2025 Wednesday - Yesterday, I got another surprise, a text from my cousin. He’s in town from Montana. We met for lunch today. I took him to Rio Mambo. He got a martini, and I had an Attitude Adjustment. It was a good drink to have while we got caught up. I’ve not seen him since my visit in 2019. This weekend might change that.
November 18, 2025 Tuesday - I got a text from a good friend earlier today. She works with a coyote conservation group. She did a presentation in Fort Worth the other day and got a call from a woman with a coyote with mange here in Burleson. She met me for dinner after her meeting. These apple pie empanadas make a great dessert.
November 17, 2025 Monday - Look how many of these caramels I still have! Keeping these in the kitchen and NOT on my desk is definitely the secret to not endlessly eating them until they are all gone. I’ve done so well I think I deserve another caramel. As much restraint as I have shown, my supply is still getting dangerously low. I need to plan a trip to Kilwins soon.
November 16, 2025 Sunday - Today, my brother became a pastor at the church he attends. A bunch of family all attended, and then we all went out to lunch. It’s always fun getting to spend time with his family, especially my niece’s and nephew’s kids. I got a bunch of silly photos with them. When I got home, I saw the cows eating and got this photo of them having a late lunch.
November 15, 2025 Saturday - I still had my errands to run today before heading up north to visit my friend and his family. Of course, I took the pups with me, and of course, I took them to get tacos for lunch. Zak patiently waits for his bites, but he does drool in excessive amounts down the side of the car. I just washed this thing!
November 14, 2025 Friday - I took a break late in the day to run a couple of errands in town. I took the pups with me to get them out of the house for a bit. I was getting gas when I remembered that we had a meeting scheduled very soon. I got in the car and rushed home. I got home just in time to make my meeting. We didn’t get tacos or run the errands.
November 13, 2025 Thursday - I’ve been sick the last couple of days. When I was finally done with work, I just wanted to nap on the couch for a bit. I took the pups for short walks out on the drive, but not our normal long walks. The best part of the evening was Zak lying next to me. He’s lying on my Longhorn hoodie. He looks so good with burnt orange.
November 12, 2025 Wednesday - A while back, I had to get an MRI. This time, they put me all the way in the tube, and I am definitely claustrophobic in my older age. When I finally got out, I felt the need to reward myself with something. Coincidentally, I got paid last night from some freelance work. I retail therapy-ed myself some cool camping gear. This is my new fridge.
November 11, 2025 Tuesday - No Photo
November 10, 2025 Monday - With the government shutdown, my sister’s original flight was cancelled. The upside is we didn’t have to get up at 5 a.m. The downside is she missed work. I dropped her off just in time to get caught in crazy rush hour traffic. Even worse was the two-lane road coming back out to the country. It was so backed up at the one-stop light.
November 9, 2025 Sunday - My little sister was in town just in time to welcome one of our nieces’ new baby. It seems like a long while since there was a new baby in the family. It was fun shopping for clothes and toys for him. Thankfully, Mom and Baby are all doing well and will be home soon. Let the sleepless nights begin.
November 8, 2025 Saturday - Last night, my little sister flew into town. She came into town for our cousin’s Thanksgiving. A bunch of us cousins met and shared a big Thanksgiving meal. I made garlic mashed potatoes. I even got the honor of carving the turkey. There was so much food and even more laughter. It was a good time with great family.
November 7, 2025 Friday - I think I’m going to try to make this our family tradition. After work, I took the pups for a walk, and then we went for a drive to town. I went in to get us some bacon, egg, and cheese tacos for all of us to share. Then I came out and ate out next to the car and shared with them through the window. It’s a lot easier when it’s not so windy. Happy Friday!
November 6, 2025 Thursday - I had an appointment really early this morning. Fortunately, it didn’t last too long. I noticed this little guy as I was getting into my car. There was a lady in the car too, so I asked if I could take a photo. This is what Biscuit would look like if she were groomed and pretty. I think I’m going to get one of these beds for my front seat.
November 5, 2025 Wednesday - Yesterday, I waited until late in the day to get a photo for this collection. It made me think I should try to get this out of the way earlier in the day. Early in the afternoon, when I was walking back from getting some water, I saw the pups lying in the sun. I grabbed my camera and got photos of all the pups. Pancake looked the best with all her scruff.
November 4, 2025 Tuesday - Today was a pretty busy day with work, and I don’t remember much of what I did. I do know this time change is really making me take the pups for our evening walks a lot earlier if possible. Also, when the moon is full or close to it, it’s quite bright out here. Regardless, I got this photo of a clear evening sky while I was checking the mail.
November 3, 2025 Monday - It’s been a while since I made this, but it’s been my photo of the day several times over the years. I had the tomatoes in the window sill for a long while, so they were really good. I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again: this is so good, especially considering how quick and easy it is to make.
November 2, 2025 Sunday - Today I met a good friend for lunch. Her birthday was recently, so we found a nice place and had lunch. We also shared a couple of desserts. I don’t remember what the other dessert in the back was, but this pumpkin lava cake was delicious. Especially with the scoop of ice cream on top.
November 1, 2025 Saturday - The colder weather is here! Fortunately, I had all the stuff I needed to make this vegetable beef soup. I remember making this without beef before I moved in with Dad. I added fresh green beans this time, and it took a little while longer to cook. I ended up sharing some of this with other family nearby.
