September 30, 2012 - Sunday
Babysat today. Within 30 minutes of the mom leaving the poor little guy was bleeding. Not badly. He fell and busted his lip. I felt horrible. He's such a tough little guy. He cried just a little bit and then was back to playing. I took this of the sunset on my way home.

What a great day in spite of all the rain. Went to a cookout that was a little damp, but the food and the company was great. Spent the eveing with a good friend catching a movie. I get these every once in a while. They remind of the Seinfeld episode.

I went to run some errands at lunch. Stopped and picked up an Oreo shake on the way back to work to make up for the salad I had for lunch. Its pretty much the only thing I like from Jack in the Box. I do like their commericals though.

This landed on my very dirty windshield just as I turned into my alley after work. I don't know what kind of bug it is but it has cool wings.

More exploring our new area around work for places to eat. This is from Momo's on Forest. This is a Puttanesca dish with chicken. The tomatos in this were so sweet. Puttanesca always reminds me of The Series of Unfortunate Events movie. "I don't speak Monkey."

I took Riley to her mom's to get some of her stuff after work. I almost always see something interesting at the pond by their place.

I met a friend for dinner that I only see two or three times a year. I thought I would be back home a little later but we talked for hours and hours. We shared a slice of chocolate cake that, evidently could not stand up to our attack.

This is the second time I've had a photo of this guy on my site. Spent the day at a friends by the pool grilling burgers and dogs, smoking cigars and drinking wine. I am very blessed with some great friends who are not just great people but they have great dogs as well.

After a long week it was nice to go have dinner and watch a movie with a friend and just relax. We sat out on the patio for a while too. Great way to end this week.

Tonight is the first episode of the last season of The Office. The beginning of the end. It hasn't been the same since Steve Carrell left, but its still pretty good.

Went to meet a friend for dinner. I was driving up north and the drive is so much shorter now that I'm at 635 and Coit. I parked at the restaurant and these were in front of me. I loved all the shades of green in the evening light.

I was getting out of my car in the parking garage at our new office after lunch. After closing my car door I glanced over and saw these. Someone left their tighty whities and the rest of their laundry in the back of their minivan. I thought it was funny.

This is in the evening at our new office. It has a curved glass wall. When you walk by you see multiple reflections of yourself. It was a little weird the first time. Do I have sexy legs or what??? Or maybe just one sexy leg. hahahaha

Okay, I know I took a picture of my pancakes last week, but I haven't made them in a really long time and I forgot how good they are. So I made them again for dinner. I love the golden brown color. This one is still in the pan. Mmmmmm

Went out to have drinks for a friend's birthday. Had a good time with the old guy. This is a picture of a girl taking a picture right as the flash went off. Kinda cool. I bet her picture isn't nearly as cool as mine.

Went out wandering around to see what kind of places to eat are around here. Found a taqueria up Coit a little ways. These were pretty good.

Moving Day. This is our emtpy office. Our agency is leaving Deep Ellum for a space up north. We're going to Coit and 635. I'm going to miss being near my Taco Stand and some friends I used to have lunch with from time to time.

This isn't a great picture, but what an amazing show. Tony Bennett performed with a quartet at the Bass Hall in Ft. Worth. If you like the song "Smile" you'd love hearing him sing it live. It was one of the most beautiful moments of the night.

I haven't made these for dinner in a really long time. I love breakfast and especially breakfast for dinner. Riley likes IHOP's pancakes better than mine, but I think she's crazy. Look at all that light, fluffy deliciousness.

Went to go visit a friend for the evening. We had dinner and watched a movie. This is one of her dogs laying next to me. Yes, that's Casablanca in the background. Such a good movie.

This is a marble sample for the countertops in our new place. I decided to use it as a coaster. I'm trying to cut out sodas. They are definitely one of the things I crave the most. I'm almost down to one Coke a week.

I had this seasoned in the fridge for a few days already and in spite of my ankles, I took it out to the grill. I didn't want it to go bad. Spicy Italian Pulled Pork sandwiches tomorrow. Mmmmmmm

Didn't go into work today because of my ankle. I spent most of the day on the couch working remotely. I had a hard time sleeping so I spent a lot of time late at night sitting here. The first time I used my timer on my camera.

To celebrate Labor Day Riley decided to dye her hair a dark blue. Just kidding. She's a huge Cowboy fan and she went blue and silver. Hahahaha. NOT. It's really a dark blue-ish purple. The highlights are from her wet hair and she's standing underneath the light.

After going out for a while this afternoon, I came back and spent the rest of the day on the couch. My ankles have really been bothering me. I guess its good that its a holiday weekend and I don't "have" to go anywhere. Shadow kept me company.
